I felt it was just January 2010 New Year Celebration yesterday, today it is hitting the 2nd week of December 2010…wow such a fast moving year for me…did you get the same feeling?
It is the time of the year again where my spouse and I have sat down to review goals and achievements for FY2010 and set new goals and expectations for FY2011. We have been doing this for the past 6 years since we were kicked out from our network marketing business…that thought us the discipline to do this.
So here are some of the things that we would share as goal settings and achievements (if you are interested to do so):
1. Faith : as Muslims we believe in serving and humbling ourselves to Allah. It is never enough for us for whatever we have served Allah. We would set new goals in FY2011 on serving and getting closer to HIM. No review required for this.
2. Health : Well, I’ll cap this as the best year in last 12 years…losing weight per plan (13kg) yet still 4kgs away from ideal weight. Reduce the Uric Acid & Cholesterol levels. Yet more to work out, healthy balance of workout and diet to stay healthy…already getting old L (40 in 2 years). New goals will be set.
3. Family : Long term goals are achieving now, looking to set new goals and move forward. It is more on how we express love to each other, how we spend quality time together, how do we work together on activities and the holidays that we want to go for together. Each family member set a goal of what they want to achieve and as family together work to help the member achieve his/her goals.
4. Wealth : Setting financial goals, investments that we want to do more on. Review how well we did in FY2010. Now FY2011, how can we increase by % the income level, reduce the expenses, looking at adding investment profiling, retirement planning tracking progress, mortgages profiling. Looking at how well the business returns were, and how to add to that returns in businesses. What are the plan moving forward…trying new stuff??
5. Education : What we have learned in FY2010. What are the skills gained? What do we want to learn in FY2011? Where are we lacking knowledge in? where do we want to add general knowledge? What are the activities that need to increase to gain more knowledge for each family member?
6. Leisure : Each family member’s personal individual leisure goals achievements is all about hobbies, wanting to do something really important, wanting to get something really exciting or obtaining certain achievements. It can be as simple as owning a new handphone or as tough as setting a goal to run a marathon. It’s all about personal satisfaction.
So these are the activities for the next 2 weeks of December that we would be working on, oh of course this would be done as a off-camp this year, holiday plus goal setting trip. We enjoy what we do. Sounds very rigid?! Well it is the fun that counts and at the end of 2011, it is not the goals that we missed counts, but the goals that we achieve excites us.
So the work for FY2011 starts now……YOURS?!
