Many people who proclaim that they love money do not really know what they are talking about.
On the surface, they may seem to love money but that is not true love. To the many so-called money lovers out there, their love is at best skin deep. They might have chased hard for the money they say they love but only to spend them away unnecessarily. 
So, in actual fact, they perhaps just love chasing and working hard for the money in order to enjoy and keep up with their peers but do not love money enough to keep it and let it grow to a larger sum over time.
Is the love of money really the root of all evil?
Maybe, but I think the real root of evil is not money. It is our greed for material things. Things that money can buy. The greed for material things is the root of all folly and evil.
The genuine love for money is the root of all wisdom. Once we have captured the money whether through our labor or business ventures, we must, by all means, strive to keep it for as long as possible, to have it start working for us so that we do not work for them.
We learn so many things in school. But the one thing all schools fail to teach their students is how to make money work for them. Why? Because there is no genuine love and true respect for money.
