“MBA” stands for “Master of Business Administration,” which attracts people from a wide range of academic disciplines. It is one of the several business degrees that provide a huge impact on a professional’s salary and career advancement options.
Now, as you can see, the MBA is actually currently in the market. Whether it’s in Malaysia or any part of the world, it’s one of the most coveted post-graduate degrees today not just for business professionals, but for college graduates in general. Having a Masters degree in Business Administration is necessary for those who want to gain an advantage in this ultra tough industry.
What is MBA and how can it help you? Basically, it definitely will help you in moving up the career ladder. Here I’ve been doing our program with University of East London for the past twelve years. We have never had cases of students going down the ladder. It’s always higher up the ladder. Even some have migrated overseas because of the opportunities that having an MBA provides. So, having an MBA is actually incredibly helpful, and often required of executive officers of large and even small companies.
By pursuing an MBA, besides the education you get in Accounting, Finance, Management Operations, you will also build up your business network. Whether it’s in our program or in any of the other programs offered by other colleges, you will see a wide variety of people who come and join the program. It can be from a CEO, Management Directors, General Managers, we even have lawyers, engineers, and medical doctors.
You will see a vast assortment of people in different professions, different industries, and different education. For example, they were a lawyer and now they’re pursuing a business degree. So, you can have different school of thoughts, different ideas.
So, why should you pursue an MBA? I believe there are some important aspects of why a person needs to pursue an MBA. The MBA degree should supply three main value propositions which is: Skills, Network, and Brand.
