How to manage a portfolio?

As I reflect, the skill of portfolio management is less critical in my initial years of investing. This is especially when my portfolio was under 6-figures. To me, what was more important at that time was to learn:

– Accounting: Identifying fundamentally solid stocks.
– Valuation: Avoid overpaying for these stocks.
– Track Business Results: Ensure these stocks remain fundamentally solid
– Dealing with Emotions: Especially during market crises like Covid-19

But, once my portfolio hit RM 100k, I realised a need to think and do differently as an investor. This is because my portfolio is now like a mini-unit trust fund. So, this is when the skill of portfolio management is more critical not just to sustain the portfolio but to grow it to the 7-figure level.
