Q & ACategory: InvestmentQueries about Personal Finance and Investing as a University Student
Nelson Ng Jia Jun asked 9 years ago

Hi KC, I am Nelson, an undergrad student at the University of Southampton, Malaysia Campus. I am writing this message to seek for your advice on my personal finance. Being a Yayasan Khazanah scholar, I do have some unused allowance which I normally save it. However, I am wondering if there is any recommended way for me to invest my money in to achieve financial freedom in the future. I am keen in learning to invest but have no way to approach. I would love to be enlightened by your advice in managing my money.

Thank you very much and hope to hear from you real soon.

There are endless option of investment.
But the key of success is to know how to do the investment properly, for long-term.
As a young students, I would suggest that you invest in yourself – acquiring the knowledge to do smart investment on your own. You can buy books, attend course etc.

If you just want to do some passive investing, unit trust is a good start.
