Q & ACategory: InsuranceDeductible amount
tls asked 10 years ago

i stumbled upon your blog when researching on deductible amount and coinsurance. I was offered a plan from GE – smart protect essential two. I have questions regarding two of the riders offered. Smart xtra and smart extender. The generated deductible amount for my policy is 90k and from what I understand, it means if my medical bill is say 95k, I’ll have to pay 90k before the benefit kicks it. And what if my bill is below 90k, the smart xtra will kick in ( annual limit 90k) and I don’t have to pay for any co insurance?

I think your agent explains that right to you. You need the two medical riders to work together for high limit medical coverage.
