I always believe that managing money is about math.
For example, if I earn RM 5,000 a month and want to save RM 1,000 a month, it would be logical to keep my expenses below RM 4,000 a month consistently. All it takes is some discipline and in 12 months time, I’ll have RM 12,000 plus some interests in my bank account.
But really, is it that simple?
Today, as I continue to learn about personal finance, I find that psychology does play a huge part in influencing money decisions. I realized that I’m linear, logical and largely mathematical in personal finance. But, that is not how most women or some men think. In other words, money is not entirely about ‘math’.
