US$1.03 trillion.
That is the latest market cap of Berkshire Hathaway, a respected conglomerate worldwide built, shaped and formed by Warren Buffett and the late Charlie Munger.
Unlike billion-dollar tech stocks, Berkshire was a product of patience and conservatism.
From its roots as an ailing textile manufacturer, Buffett diversified its income sources. Initially, he went into insurance. Then, he went into banking. Progressively, Buffett added retail, service, and manufacturing into his portfolio. In the 21st century, Buffett added energy, utilities and a railroad into his collection.
