Merry Christmas!
I will be going to Kuala Lumpur on Christmas day and will only be back on 29th Dec. I’ll be meeting Relax from Wisecurve for a tea session. The time has yet to be determined. If you intend to join us somewhere near the Curve, please contact me soon.

Jacquelyn (a regular contributor on this blog) had started a blog about wise parenting (WParent.com). She talks about how to become a great parent. One of her article caught my eyes because it discusses about the right time to start teaching your children about personal finance.

When to Start Teaching Your Children About Money?

Where do we start? As parents, we have gone through our childhood and grown up to be adults. Compared to our children, we have definitely learned more things, good and bad, what works and what does not work. This is a good way to start teaching your children about money, by sharing your own experiences.

There is another review of my book written by Carson Ding. I’ve never met Carson before. But my wife knew him since secondary school, and she said Carson is a very good writer. After reading Carson’s blog for many months, he is indeed very fluent in English writing. You can read his review of my book here:

However, don’t be fool by the word ‘simple’. The keyword in my opinion for the entire content of the book is ‘practical’. I wish someone has given me a book like this when I started working in my first job many, many years ago!

The practical tips and guides are so valuable that you would not have even thought of it. Reading this book will save you at least a few years of self-studying to improve your personal finance. I am such person that have constantly been trying to read up on tips to improve all areas of personal finance. However, it amazes me to find some gems in there that I have not thought of!

Last but not least, OngKL from REIJB.com says that some property agents claimed that property prices will start to drop further after Lunar New Year. Read his articles about investment in real estate:

Will property price and rental fall further?

Maybe another good news to investors and home buyers – now banks also join the fire sale team. Number of auction properties has increased since early of the year. According to auctioneers: MORE to come next year!!
