your strategies sound good but...consider below

1) Does the fund always launch at the right time?
2) If new fund is good then mean old fund may not perform anymore?
3) Does switching really works? Why not let fund manager do? fund manager have discretionary mandate! Can agent do betterr than fund manager?

sometime people over analyse caused paralyse and missed good timing to invest.

The objective is make more with higher rate of return. most successful investor wish to paid reasonable charges, provided acquired expected rate of return with shorter duration.

The key is build a investment style to breakthrough investors' fear and greed...

When is the best time to switch from underperformed fund (moderate) to outperform fund (aggressive) within same fund manager/company? I believe the rule of thumb is to switch in when the NAV of the outperform fund at lowest as possible i.e. on the day the fund manager distribute the income distribution of the fund. Hope you can comment/advice on this. Thanks.

Good tips but just need to see if 1.05% gain is worth or not.Perhaps I will only do that if my initial investment is more than RM 10K.

@Relax,

Switching from no-load fund (bond fund) to loaded fund (equity fund) will still incur the 6.5% service charges.

Switching fund sounds nice but do you really think the fund company will allow you to buy a huge chunk of bond fund and then switch it to equity fund? and all you have to pay is low front load and RM 25?

I have this doubt. I hope you can help to clarify it.
