When making a bequest consider the differences between a percentage of net estate, and a set amount for each individual or worthy cause. You can mix and adjust amounts or percentages to reflect your intentions. Most charities would love to get 1% of an estate, your favorite charity might be best served with the residual. It is your money - use it as you wish. Leona seemed to think in specific amounts rather than percentages, that made any residuary bequest huge.
