zero in on one that is easy to follow step by step. Being still in a full time job, married and with family commitments it is not easy to allocate the time to follow thru with some of those ‘gurus’ with their constant emails / webminars etc. I’ve not read ‘The 8 Day

I am currently bonded with my employer who sponsored my studies, but my salary is low despite my high qualification. I can’t quit my job because of the bond, hence I’m always searching highs and lows for ways to make extra money, especially online. I’ve tried E-bay, but my obstacles are E-bays high charges and difficulty to source for things to sell on Ebay. I created an online store selling baby clothes, but it takes a lot of my time to take the pictures, write descriptions, marketing etc as not only I work full time, I have a toddler who demands my attention when I got home. So please, I hope I can get a copy of Edwin’s book (is this an e-book or real book?) to help me speed up my journey to making money online..

This is the 1st post for me since i started read ur forum recently. Its really benefit me a lot to know some financial knowledge n some real case study here. Im in here almost the same situation with najwa, Bonded with company. I cant quit my job now and cant do part time as well because Im 90% of time at oversea. So I think Internet online making money is 1 of the good idea to generate extra income for myself. Its so sad for separate with my family n my lovely pregnant wife every time. FEAR! as it spells have been set into a lot of Malaysians going into “exceptional businesses”. When I say exceptional businesses here are those businesses that are not related to the normal day to day conventional trading business. From many years when people talked about businesses, it used to be someone having a shop or stall, having inventory of products, attracting customer to thier shops and getting the products sold exactly the conventional businesses that we know off.
In recent years, there were many new ear businesses being introduced, direct selling, MLM, network marketing, internet marketing….but the recent years, there have been more and more virtual internet businesses from products, services and now forex.
Personally, I am yet to meet a individual becoming millionaire via internet business solely, there have always been backed up with other business, and that is the very reason for me to be less believing in the internet business earlier.
Lately I have been putting a collection of internet business books, be it from Azizi Ali or other authors, but rather i have not found the real trick of how an internet business work. I really hope that this book get some details on how can i start an internet business and get me to have the belief that internet business works…just as mentioned by Eugene.

The reason why i want to make money online because of low starting capital compare to conventional business which can almost started by everyone.Beside that,i can do everything online at my lovely house without spending much time on travel to work or jammed on the traffic.Some more internet business are able to operate 24/7 everyday no matter i am sleeping or doing whatever thing and everything will still going fine which was difficult to acheived by conventional business!!
The main obstacles that keep me from doing it full time was the commitment and effort that i had to disbursed because people normally thought that make money online was easy example just like setup a website or blog and wait cash flow into their account but in fact they never think about how to promote or advertised their website by many of internet marketing strategic like Search Engine Optimization(SEO),google adwords,acticle marketing and so on.We have to learned and figured out everything about internet business topic before take action to start and for those who never put such commitment will ended up with failed to make money online!!
All of the above just my single cents and i wish can win this book to broaden my internet business knowledge!

As a way of passive income. having no saving at all at the end of the month is a nightmare scenario..and this might happen to me the moment i get married. Extra expenses (car, house ,food etc..) will be a burden for me. I dont want to live paying debts all my life.
The obstacle at the moment is that i dont know how to identify a product to do internet business. Hope this book will enlighten me on how to achieve this.

Most of the books more on talking how to good and the advantages on working in internet business. I wish that there are step by step to teach me how to set up, proper guideline to set up the internet businesses. Currently I’m working as an employee whereby I feel the stagnant to rise up in corporate ladder. Long working hour also causing some stress and family commitment as well. Internet business is the way to do business now. Im operating my own medical clinic which specilises in acne treatment and im thinking of bringing it into the internet. Obstalcles? Hmm.. first and foremost, dont have the faintest idea how to do it. The books that i have do not help. Plus, do not know anybody who can show me how to do it. Unable to attend seminars that sometimes are held in klang valley due to family and work commitment. Sigh!!!!
I always believe sweat and tear is what brings the bread to the table (or rather rice in my case since I’m asian) but I do open for possibilities and certainly wanted to learn more of making money because I know 1001 ways of losing money….
I born in a typical Chinese family, the most invisible force that stopping me from internet business is due to the culture my family pumped into me, as below:
1) Chinese saying: åšäººè¦è„šè¸å®žåœ° (We have to be firm our fit on the ground on doing anything)
2) Online Business started few years back, no great history behind to support it great success.
3) Money that can be hold in hand is money, virtual money is not money.
4) Generation before me ages from 45 – 60an, they only believe that a real job is most secured (from their experience)
Due to the comments and advice from elders, where they don’t understand the power of internet nowadays, is keeping me away from internet business, and their influences tends to hold me back or having second thought whenever wanted to start a internet business…without their support in morale nor model, I’m stuck from the very 1st step to start a internet business and network…
Hopefully this book would change my mind and give me strength and believe in internet business…

I have been following your web-site for sometime and never miss your exciting articles. You are a practical person and never up sell your services or products.
After attended Robert Kiyosaki seminar in April 09, I have a plan to generate passive income. Due to low setup cost, of course online internet business is one of my options. My objective is to achieve financial freedom before 55 years old ( BTW, I am 46) and make money online is definitely a wonderful dream to have. Subsequently, I got into internet online business since joining the first seminar last June 09. Since then, I joining more than 3 seminars, involved in eBay, buying websites, purchase ebook, buying articles to generate traffics and subscripts to expensive on line webminar etc. One of the internet Gurus even recommended me setting up more websites, assuming one website could generate USD1.00 per day, if we had 100 websites, this will generate USD36500 in a year! It is a real concept!
In fact, I am shameful to reveal that I had spent more that RM30,000 on those things, but the revenue I got is merely few hundred ringgit so far! Having this poor result, my spouse had given me a final warning on further investment on internet business.
How to become a fulltime internet marketer if I had loss substantial of my hard earn money in 6 months? And worst still, have not even see a silver lining in the cloud! After so many obstacles, I still believe in make money online business as internet Gurus had proven to me his fat cheques during the seminar and coincidentally you are a good example of successful on line businessman as well. However, the question is how am I going to reach there?
Honestly, now I am facing with fear factor as I do not know which internet Gurus are really sincere in helping me! Everyday I received many emails to up sell their products but I would not make any move unless someone is really honest to assist me. I believe Elvin John book would be a good motivation and steps towards making money online.

Wow Eric,
Spending $30k on internet products is a lot of money. I share your pain, as careful as I can be, I still lost $30k to FOREX, but that was the minimum investment that was asked from me. Guess what the FOREX team and company disappeared.
Rather my policy have always been careful with our hard earn money, we need to investigate before making a move in business world where money make money, if i miss an opportunity, i would just believe that it was not for me.
So take it easy man, there are other opportunity waiting somewhere, just keep believing in it…..and stop spending money until you are really sure.

1. Internet is powerful, the biz can be run 24/7/365 and lots of potential clients
2. Relatively low risk and low capital requirement to start a biz
3. Biz can be run at home and anywhere, as long as there’s internet
4. Helpful mentors who can assist me e.g. KC Lau..
5. I want to have multiple source of income
Obstacles for online biz:
1. (Perceived) Lack of knowledge in internet, computers
2. Less pressure compared to conventional biz, so less commitment and effort
3. Unsure of kind of biz to run online i.e. what product?
4. Unsure of where to get help
5. Perceived lack of time

KC, I have always been fascinated and inspired by the success stories of people who started online business and finally able to break free from rat race. They do not have to be caught in endless traffic jam and unethical office politics. They can take time-off their work anytime they like to go for vacation. They also have more time for their family and loved ones. They can even donate to the charitable body thanks to the extra income generated from online business.
I have to admit that, coming from a very traditional family, I have been taught since young about studying hard and working hard to earn a living. And as such, although I would like to try to do online business as part-time job after office hours, I lack the initiative, enthusiasm and knowledge.
Most of the resources on the online business/internet marketing concentrate on the advantages of online business/internet marketing rather than the practical step by step guide to online business/internet marketing which is not very useful.
Success is really 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. As such, without taking that first step towards online business, success is only but a fairy tale.

I need something or someone to convince me that you can make money via Internet Business. Most of the making money online that was introduced to me (most of through internet) have failed to convince me to make money genuinely. Some reasons are due to;
1) They are too good to be true.
2) They are scam (after some google-findings from forums).
3) The content of make money online sites have similar look & feel. Even the wordings used are exactly the same by different sites.
Maybe by reading the book by Edwin John can convince me that there is a really genuine way to make money online and can change my perception on making money online.

I feel very shameful of myself when I read or hear somebody is very success in the internet business and they are with computer background. Mainly because I am a computer sciense graduate, and I got my computer sciense master degree too, the ‘ego’ in myself tell me I should be one of those success stories.
When everyone heard I am in the ‘computer’ line, they will give me a second look, and come to me for “computer (actually internet or e-business) money making” tips. Of course, I have non, though I know the “e” world better then others …… My relative looks at me and always with question mark eyes as of why somebody else is so success in the “e” world while I am still a support engineer who need to work so hard, even being ring up in the midnight.
I do feel it is a waste with all the related knowledge I have but I can’t excel in this area. It takes others to learn and pickup up most of the knowledge while I have it but I don’t know where can I use it ….
I started up searching around the ‘e’ world for information and tips, looking for boosk in the book stores, went to courses and seminars, started up with blogs,selling products of my own development in the website of my own …. but of course, it doesn’t reach any place. The website is there, not only half dying, but everytime when I look at it, the pain of sadness and disappointment is deep to the bottom of my heart , the feeling of “why I just can’t be success as I am alreay ‘guru’ of “IT”, my guy have loaded with bullets but I don’t know my target” …

Information overloaded and dont have the step by step guide to start and worried if we will waste our time. Is like there are thousands of info about doing the business but you not sure the author is genuine or not. You get motivated to start but then the next day you are so tied up with daily thing you have no time to think about it.

Most IMPORTANT :- How to marketing / advertising your company websites ?? You need to spend huge investment $ in Google, Altavista, Microsoft Bing, Yahoo …etc by paying yearly fees.. It’s not small sum of yearly fees in order for people worldwide to know/recognize our company websites existence. What Secure Payment / Fund Transfer Available in your company Websites ? How Fast / Web Load can your Server Cater in a single surfing by users/member ? Do you need bigger server with big memory/ hardisk ? How prompt your server transacts when users/members click on the buttons ? …etc

I don’t like to spent my time on the tranffic, everyday need to wake up morning go to office. 1 day 8 hours stay at office, 1 week 5 day and a half stay at the office working for my boss. Every month only get that salary not more than RM 1500…. I want to upgrade my life.
