Welcome to the September 22, 2007 edition of Personal Finance Money Tips blog carnival. Blog carnivals are a great way for bloggers to recognize each other’s efforts, organize blog posts around important topics, and improve the overall level of conversation in the blogosphere. Carnivals come in edited “editions”, just like magazines or journals. The fact that carnivals are edited (and usually annotated) collections of links lets them serve as “magazines” within the blogosphere, and carnival hosts can earn their readership by providing high quality collections.

There are a total of 53 articles submitted through this carnival submission form, but only 37 are shortlisted to be published here. In those previous blog carnivals hosted here, I didn’t eliminate any entry and it might give you a hard time to find the best articles. There are even some commercial articles with high sales pitch found. I apologize to those who didn’t make it through. I hope this will enhance your reading experience.

  2. Thanks for hosting. I think it is a good idea to be a little selective - it encourages people to aim for better quality articles

  3. Thank you for hosting and posting!

I agree 100% with T.Pettinger that being selective is a good thing; certainly no need to apologize for raising the quality of your carnival.

    Thanks,

    Logan.

  4. PS - kudos to you for using your real name and photo on your blog (under the About KCLau link); after all, if one is proud of their posts on their own blog, why hide behind a pseudonym or avatar? Moreover, should blog readers trust the personal finance advice of someone who doesn’t reveal themselves to the world?

Logan Flatt, CFA - 23 Sep 07 at 5:30 am

  5. Hi Logan, I think in our industry (financial planning services), our name s the brand. People trust us for handling their money, not so much of the companies we represent.
